Saturday, June 28, 2014 As the official date of our 50th Anniversary isn’t until October 5th, the members of the Ritchie Volunteer Fire Department had the amazing opportunity to celebrate this past weekend at our fire station with a community wide open house. All who attended had a wonderful time, and the support from the community on our milestone accomplishment was truly amazing.
We would also like to thank Prince George’s County District 6 Council Member Derrick Leon Davis for his presentation of a proclamation outlying our accomplishments over the last 50 years within the community, as well as officially naming June 28th as “Ritchie Day”. This level of recognition is truly appreciated by the department, and shows their acknowledgement of our everyday efforts, as well as how important we are to the safety and protection of Prince George’s County.
We would like to thank all who supported the event this past weekend, and give a special thank you to…
The Art Display Company
BJ’s Wholesale Club
