TRUCK AND CHIEF ALERTED FOR BOWIE HOUSE FIRE

Just before the evening rush hour was about to kick in for the area, truck 37 was dispatched to the 100 Blk of Jewett Court in Bowie for the reported house fire. Communications received multiple calls and as the truck turned on to Central Ave, they could tell by the large column of smoke this would be a working fire. The truck was the first due special service on the assignment and arrived as such with fire showing through the roof. The crew immediately split into two teams with the outside team throwing ladders and clearing windows while the interior team made a push on the second floor working on searches in the home. Command pulled units out due to a partial collapse of the roof over the master bedroom but redeployed Truck 37 and PE846 to division 2 to knock the rest of the fire and hit hot spots. Chief 37 had safety and the units cleared a few hours later.
