On Wednesday, companies were alerted for the basement fire in Company 23’s (Forestville)first due. Company 37 hit the street with 4 personnel on each the engine and ladder truck. First unit’s arrived on scene with nothing evident. Upon completion of the 360, smoke was found on the Charlie side, signaling a working fire. The engine company, as third due arrived as dispatched, secured their water source and stretched a line to side C of the structure and made entry of the structure. The truck company arrived on scene to throw ladders, conduct searches and open up for the engine companies. Units operated for just over 2 hours before clearing.
