On Thursday 3/30 around 1730 hours, PSC dispatched a street alarm for a reported “fire out” in a house in the 10000 block of Annapolis Road. Initial companies arrived on scene to find fire showing through the roof, filling out the box assignment and working fire dispatch. Truck Co.37 (3rd due Truck Co.) and Chief 37A responded. The crew split, completing their inside and outside tasks while Chief 37A had Division 2. Crews operated for over two hours before returning to service.
3/9/17 -Just 20 minutes after returning from the first due fire, south side companies were alerted for a house on fire in the area of Symposium Way & Libation Ct. (Co.25)… Units arrived on scene with fire showing and a working fire was declared bringing Truck Co.37 on the box as RIT. This made working fire number five in six days for Co.37.
Just after 2230 hours last evening, communications alerted units for a report of a house fire across from 9400 Beech Park Street in the first due. Engine Co.37 arrived and found fire showing from the dwelling. The 150′ bumper line was stretched and all fire was quickly extinguished. The engine operated on the box for a couple hours before returning to service.
A familiar sound echoed the 37 house this morning around 0630…house bells for a report of a fire in an apartment in the unit block of Cable Hollow Way (Co.46). Truck Co.37 was on the box as the first due truck and arrived with reports from the first arriving engine company of a working fire on the 1st floor. Truck Co.37 operated on the 1st floor opening up for the engine and completing searches, while the outside team completed their tasks. This in the third working fire for Co.37 in as many days.
Yesterday evening just before midnight, a box alarm was transmitted for a report of a chimney fire in the 1200 block of Pickering Circle, sending Engine Co.37 as the 1st due engine. The engine arrived with smoke showing from the rear of two story single family home. Upon completion of the 360, the engine officer found smoke and fire from the eves. Units found fire in the walls and chimney area that was quickly opened up and extinguished. This was the second fire in 24 hours for the 37 house.
